I will, however be using correct terminology in my upcoming DVD. Thank you, though. ;)
Thanks agian.
How fast can you play on a instrument like this ? I've been thinking of buying a moog etherwave and play it aside the guitar in my indie-band. No fast solos or anything at all but harmonic phrases.
However, with stringed instruments, like guitars, violins, ect, the left hand of the player controls pitch. With theremins, it turns out that Leon originaly built it the way it is now, but Clara Rockmore chose to simply learn how to play it as it was, rather than trouble Leon to redesign it. The
remins can be turned round for opposites.
We don't strike theremins like drums, or pianos, so they're not percussion. They have no strings, or reeds, so they're none of those, but they do sometimes have brass antennas, but they're not brass instruments either. They use no wind, so they're not woodwind. They are electronic, and are cons
idered synthesizers, so they'd be considered electronic. They use a non-tactile interface, and are therefore justurally controlled.
´s music.
Also, visit Kevinkissinger on the web. I believe he has a recording he did by multitracking multiple theremin lines he played on a piece called Ave Verum Corpus. I think he did at least 4 or 5 parts, all on theremin.
