Hey, I know how to work a record player and I was born in the Internet Generation. I got a 1980s Sony record player. It's just a big CD. It's the exact same concept. They both have grooves in them for each track. Just like DVDs and CDs. Only they take wear and tear after each use. Records are better than cassettes though. (Cassettes make a whirring whiny noise.)
