Believe me the problem is NOT the funding. What you see in these communities is a direct result of what happens when family structure is broken down in biblical proportions. The last thing we should be doing is using tax payers money to solve the problem. Watch the HBO special on Douglass HS in Baltimore and then see if you still think the problem is funding. PS- I work in inner-city public schools, and have for almost ten years.

Hey I live in North Philly. This happened I think within a week of police officer being killed. Trust me that was no excuse for police to just beat the shit out of them dudes like that. I do think being a cop is a difficult job but that makes me think that most people aren't even qualified to be police and therefore there should be better screening when hiring police along with regular psychiatric evaluations because of the stress involved. I feel you on your ignorance comment. Real shit man.

I have never had a positive experience with cops in the US and I HAVE been falsely arrested and abused, threatened, harassed, etc...while in custody.
Judging by the people saying "fuck the police", I'm guessing I'm not the only one.
It's not racial. I'm white. The cops have never been good to me. I don't imagine people are shooting cops b/c they're white. I guess they're shooting cops b/c they're COPS. Cops treat average people like subjects. "Call me sir! Respect me." or get beaten. Fuck em'.

I'm white and I agree with some of what you're saying, but you need to understand that it's a class thing. If you are white and get pulled over in an old-ass AMC Gremlin with rust spots, you will get fucked with and pulled out of the car if you're white too.
