Here's a video I threw together to describe how to do the slow figure 8. This crack essentially combines the cattleman's crack with the reverse cattleman's crack. While I use a stockwhip in this video, it can also be done with a bullwhip.

| Naw, I just did the spread leg stance so I wouldn't stand as tall and more of the whip would fit in the frame of the camera. When I practice two-handed whip cracking, I usually do it with feet together, though I do think the spread-leg stance looks more dramatic. |

| I'd still say that you're better off starting with an 8 footer over a 10 footer. It will be easier to use it when learning new cracks. |

| well, the slow figure 8 is a combination of the cattleman's crack done both forward and reverse, so it becomes a new trick. So this is a two-crack pattern, where the cattleman's crack is only one crack. |

| yes it is infact easier with a shorter whip. stock whips have longer handles and are easier to crack in some ways where bullwhips are used fo traditional cracking(and they have shorter handles). |

| Which whip is better really depends on what you want to do. I prefer stockwhips for multiple cracking. Some people think bullwhips are better for targeting. |
