That's terrible that she was booed! Granted, the performance may not have been that great but it doesn't show great deal class on the part of the crowd to boo a young woman like this. I guess it shows character on her part that she apparently has not allowed this experience to discourage her.

you're completely and utterly wrong. 1. applause cannot be granted, otherwise it losing it's quality as a reward for a good performance. therefore it's completely appropriate to boo someone performing badly. 2. this woman is _PAID_ for this performance. the audience therefore has a right to boo, because there could have been other singers performing better than her charging a lot less!

I'm sorry, but I will have to respectfully disagree with you. Just because she was paid for this less than polished performance does not justify rudeness. If the audience did not like the performance, they didn't have to applaud. They could just been silent. As my mother has always told me, "if you can't something nice, don't say anything at all."

You couldn't be more wrong. She was being publically ridiculed because she was an absolute fraud who knowingly profited by holding herself out to be something else. She wasn't soley complicet in this; plenty of people without integrity laughed all the way to the bank and would have continued to do so if she hadn't been fully exposed as a fraud. She deserved every bit of ridicule she got.
