ow i thought it was a flam with your feet followed by one on the toms and then looped together so that it creates fast singles and what makes it sounds cool is the different drums alternating...like bo bo ba ba bo bo ba ba lol then maybe im wrong ive only been drumming for a year and 4 mounths

I've been playing drums for 10 years now, and am pretty good. But I just recently bought a double pedal to start practicing. I have this weird habit I can't break, when i try to do I fill like this, my brain tells my feet to play LR instead of RL, so I'll have 1-e on the snare RL, then AND-A LR on the pedals. I can't seem to tell my brain to do it the right way. It sounds fine but if I want to lead into a right foot kick on the next downbeat coming, It either has to be LRL or LRR. What's up?

@pearljammin: The ... ( 1 week ago by FieserTyp666)
@pearljammin: The best way is to get a metronome, and start with a slow beat. Just play it clean and when you feel comfortable, speed it up a bit. When you get tired, just take a break, and start at that point later again. Many people who want to learn double bass get easily frustrated because they get out of time when they speed it up too much. Just start slow and practice, then you'll get better very quickly.

Wonderful Lesson ... ( 6 days ago by drummergod522)
Wonderful Lesson man. I have a question though. I have been playing drums for 9 years but I only got a double bass pedal a month ago. I'm pretty fast on a single pedal, having played like that for 9 years. You see I play heel down style. However most people tell me heel up is faster, but I've watched videos on heel up and heel down techniques, and most people say heel up is faster, but above all I should play what feels comfortable. Should I switch to heel up in order to play faster now?
Play with the style ... ( 6 days ago by vansdrumming)
Play with the style which is most comfortable to you. If heel down works, stick with it. There is no right or wrong. RVP
