Costello were shooting on looks like Warners'. Michael Curtiz,who directed "Casablanca", was suppossed to have been quite a character. One day he was outside a soundstage, talking with my grandfather. My father, then a messenger at the studio, passed by. "Hi Dad" he says to my grandfather. Curtiz called my father over. "Young man", he says in his Hungarian accent, "Don't you know you're supposed to kiss your father?" Dad said, what could he do? He kissed his father,
