It was Ali but it was never a real fight. Does anyone really believe Rocky Marciano, with that style of leaving himself so open and swinging roundhouse jabs could have beaten Ali? I dont think so. Anyone that knows anything about boxing would have seen that he would not have lasted five rounds with Ali. Did anyone see that Ali did not jab at Rocky's head at all? Do you think this would have happened in a real fight?

Ali is by all means the greatest. Marciano had such a perfect record because he never fought any body worthy. Any boxer can be undefeated fighting weak opponents.

Amen drcarl2000, my point exactly, the perfect example of that in the modern age is Mike Tyson...I'm sure you will agree making such a reasonable statement as you did. Tyson fought old Black Men, Tomato can white men and bums and had an undefeated record until he fought Buster Douglas who cleaned his clock. Marciano retired before defeat...Tyson hung around until the bums beat him. Except that Marciano stood up after knock down to win fights and Tyson lost every fight he was knocked down in.
